Phlda2 (pleckstrin homology-like domain, family A, member 2) shows maternal expression with
relative repression of the paternal allele. It is expressed in placenta and most fetal tissues (Qian N, et al. 1997). Tssc3-null mice
and heterozygous mutants with maternal deletions show a placental overgrowth phenotype that does
not confer a fetal growth advantage (Frank D et al, 2002). Syntenic with
Okae H et al, (2012) confirmed imprinted
maternal expression of Phlda2 in trophoblast stem cells.
