Mas1 (cell surface receptor and proto-oncogene, Mas) was reported to be paternally expressed in some
embryonic tissues (Villar
AJ et al, 1994) but this has been disputed (Schweifer
N et al, 1997; Lyle
R et al, 2000).
However, the Mas antisense RNA, which is part of the Airn (Igf2r-antisense)
imprinted, being exclusively expressed from the paternal allele (Lyle
R et al, 2000; Alenina
N et al, 2002).
The human data were also conflicting (see human 6q25.3-q26).
