Psoriasis vulgaris. Parental effect on birth weight has been reported. Also paternal inheritance
caused more severe disease (Traupe H
et al, 1992).
Excessive paternal transmission of psoriatic arthritis has been observed. Of 95 probands with an
affected parent, 65% had an
affected father whereas 35% had an affected mother (Rahman P et al, 1999).
Pollock RA et al (2016) confirmed a
paternal transmission bias in psoriasis.
