NAP1L5 (nucleosome assembly protein 1-like 5) is known to be imprinted and paternally expressed in
humans, mice, cows and pigs.
NAP1L5 was hypomethylated in the sperm of New Zealand white rabbits and hypermethylated in MII
oocytes. NAP1L5 was found to be hemimethylated in the brain tissue of six rabbits, where it is
highly expressed. NAP1L5 was found to be hypermethylated in the liver of the same individuals, where
it is not expressed (Yuan L et al 2016).
