Pig

Gene:

RASGRF1 (conflicting data)

Chromosome:

07

Location:

Description:

RASGRF1 (Ras protein-specific guanine nucleotide-releasing factor 1) expression was detected in brain, heart, liver, spleen, lung, kidney, stomach, pancreas, fat, testis, ovary, small intestine, longissimus dorsi, and pituitary of 1 day old piglets. The RASGRF1 gene was maternally expressed in the liver and small intestine, paternally expressed in the lung in 7 piglets from reciprocal crosses. It was biallelically expressed in the brain, heart, spleen, kidney, stomach, pancreas, fat, testis, ovary, longissimus dorsi, and pituitary tissues (Ding YY et al, 2015).
This mixed pattern of imprinted is expression is very unusual and requires independent validation.
