INS (Insulin) was partially imprinted in the yolk sac placenta of the tammar wallaby, Macropus eugenii. In 8 of 10 studied cases, the dominant allele accounted for between 69% and 83% of INS expression. In the other two the dominant allele accounted for 65% of expression. In two informative individuals the predominant allele was paternal. INS protein was restricted to the yolk sac endoderm (Ager E et al 2007).
