Preferential maternal expression of GNAS in fetuses and preferential paternal expression in
chorioallantois was suggested. Using non-isoform-specific primers, day 21 parthenogenetic fetusus
showed 1.7-fold higher expression compared to control fetuses (ie, predominant maternal expression).
Differently, day 21 parthenogenetic chorioallantois expression was 0.4-fold that of controls
(predominant paternal expression) (Thurston
A et al 2008).
