DIRAS3 (DIRAS family, GTP-binding RAS-like 3) is paternally expressed and maternally methylated. It
is expressed in heart, liver, spleen, lung, kidney, stomach, small intestine skeletal muscle, fat,
uterus, ovary and pituitary (Cheng
H.-C. et al, 2007). DIRAS3 acts as a negative regulator in mouse growth and development (Xu,
F. et al, 2000).
Bischoff SR et al, 2009 identified
expression DIRAS3 in the placenta of parthenogenetic pregnancies, suggesting expression of a
nonimprinted isoform or partial imprinting.
