Dlx5 was reported to show preferential expression from the maternal allele in frontal cortex based
on restriction enzyme digested RT-PCR products from frontal cortex of reciprocal hybrids (Horike S et al, 2005). However, previously

Human DLX5 had been reported to be imprinted but this finding has been firmly refuted (Schule
B et al, 2007). Furthermore, Schule et al. argue that the mouse imprinting data reported by Horike S et al, 2005 do not support Horike's claim that Dlx5 is imprinted. The criticism is
