Tnfrsf23 (tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily, member 23) is expressed in multiple adult and
fetal tissues and highly expressed in the placenta. Tnfrsf23 was preferentially maternally expressed
several organs including fetal liver and adult spleen (Clark
L et al. 2002).
Tnfrsf23 was reported to be imprinted during embryonic developmental stages. In E13.5 (F1 hybrid)
paternal expression was shown to be approximately 28% of the maternal level, demonstrating maternal
bias (De la Casa Esperon E et al, 2012). The authors
indicate the imprinting status of the gene is influenced by KvDMR, the Kcnq1 imprinting control region.
