Detailed entry for Gene:

Zfp264
ZNF264

Chromosome:

Human Chr19q13.4
Mouse Chr7 (proximal)

Links:

OMIM

Imprinting:

The maternal allele of Zfp264 is repressed; paternal allele active, in neonatal mouse brain (Kim J et al, 2001).

Gene Product:

Like its neighboring gene, Zim3, the Zfp264 gene has lost its coding potential in the mouse genome, although it can encode a zinc finger protein in humans (Kim J et al, 2001). Its transcript is most abundant in testis (Kim J et al, 2001).

Functional Data:

There are no functional data for Zfp264.
